A classroom of future Landscape Architects at Mississippi State University hosted HRC Engineers’ Vice President Darryl D. Ray, RLA, ASLA in November 2025. More than 15 LA 4754 Design 5 students welcomed Darryl, a proud MSU alum, as he shared insights about the profession—and what it’s like to work at HRC.
Darryl was hosted by Assistant Professor SaMin Han, Ph.D. MLA, who, following the session, noted that Darryl’s business cards “were all sold out”—testament to his ability to inspire aspiring professionals as they embark on their careers.
“As a graduate of this program I value not only the education I received, but the opportunity to encourage those preparing to enter the job market and earn their professional credentials,” Darryl said.
Currently 15 MSU grads are part of the HRC team including Darryl, as well Aaron Studdard, Brian Howell, Sam Kennemer, Tripp Dunn, Bennett Clark, Caleb Kempkes, and Mark Burgess.
