There are more than 43,000 professional land surveyors in the U.S. This week (starting March 16) we celebrate National Surveyors Week, honoring those who perform surveys to accurately define property boundaries, assess topography and environmental conditions, and lay the groundwork for successful land development. The profession has a long history, including being referenced in biblical passages related to measuring the Promised Land.

Hughes Survey Company, owned by Clifford Hughes, RLS, 25 years ago. The merged organization has since provided design (civil engineering and landscape architecture) services
in addition to survey services and now offers clients in 15 states the full host of services required for successful land development.
